Everything you need to know about bidding and winning auctions

Getting Started

Creating Your Account

To participate in auctions, you'll need to register as a buyer:

  1. Click "Sign Up" in the navigation bar
  2. Fill in your details (name, email, phone, address)
  3. Choose "Buyer" as your role
  4. Click "Sign Up" to create your account
Quick Access: You can also sign in using your Google account for faster registration.

Logging In

Once registered, you can log in using:

  • Your email and password
  • Google OAuth (Sign in with Google)

Finding Auctions

Live Auctions

The home page displays two main sections:

  • Live Now: Auctions currently accepting bids
  • Upcoming: Auctions scheduled to start soon

Filtering & Sorting

Use the sidebar filters to narrow down your search:

  • Categories: Filter by product category
  • Price Range: Set your budget (₹0-500, ₹500-1000, etc.)
  • Sort by Bid: View highest or lowest current bids first

Product Details

Click on any product card to view:

  • Product description and images
  • Current highest bid
  • Auction end time
  • Bid history (all bids placed)
  • Number of participants

Bidding Process

Live Auctions

You can place bids on any auction marked as "Live" as long as you have remaining quota.

Upcoming Auctions

You can view these items before they start to prepare your strategy.

No Consecutive Bids

To ensure fair competition, users cannot place two bids in a row on the same product. You must wait for another user to bid before you can bid again.

Bidding Limit

Each user is limited to a maximum of 5 bids per product within a 24-hour window. Once you reach this limit, you must wait 24 hours from your first bid to bid on that product again.

Binding Bids

Every bid placed is a legally binding commitment to purchase the item at that price if you win.

Fair Play

Any attempt to manipulate auctions (shill bidding) will lead to immediate account suspension.

Notifications

Email Notifications

You'll receive email alerts for:

  • Bid Confirmation: When your bid is successfully placed
  • Outbid Alert: When someone bids higher than you
  • Winner Notification: When you win an auction
  • Order Updates: When your order status changes (Pending → Deliver → Complete)

Real-Time Notifications

While browsing the site, you'll see:

  • Toast notifications for bid confirmations
  • Flash messages for important actions
  • Live auction countdown timers

Winning & Payment

How Winners Are Selected

When an auction ends:

  1. The system automatically selects the highest bidder as the winner
  2. The winner receives an email notification
  3. An order is created with status "Pending"

Payment Process

To complete your purchase:

  1. Go to "My Orders" from your profile menu
  2. Find the pending order
  3. Click "Pay Now"
  4. Complete payment using Stripe (supports UPI, Cards, Wallets)
  5. Order status changes to "Delivered" (awaiting shipment)
Secure Payments: All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We never store your payment details.

Order Completion

Once you receive your product:

  1. Navigate to "My Orders"
  2. Find the delivered order
  3. Click "Mark as Complete" to confirm receipt

Orders & Tracking

Viewing Your Orders

Access your order history from the profile dropdown menu:

  • Click your profile icon → "My Orders"
  • View all orders (Pending, Delivered, Completed)
  • See order details, bid amount, and product info
  • Download invoice/bill for each order

Order Statuses

Status Meaning Action Required
Pending Payment not completed Click "Pay Now" to complete payment
Delivered Product shipped/delivered Wait for delivery, then mark as complete
Completed Order finished None - order is complete

Membership Plans

Why You Need a Membership

Membership plans provide:

  • Bid credits to participate in auctions
  • Limited time validity (e.g., 30 days)
  • Access to premium auctions

Choosing a Plan

  1. Navigate to "Membership" from your profile menu
  2. View available plans (Basic, Standard, Premium)
  3. Click "Apply" on your preferred plan
  4. Wait for admin approval (usually within 24 hours)
  5. Once approved, click "Activate" to start using your bids
Bid Usage: Your remaining bids are displayed as "Used/Total" (e.g., 3/10 means you've used 3 out of 10 bids). Each bid placed reduces your available count by 1.

Frequently Asked Questions

No, bids are final and cannot be retracted once placed. Please ensure you're committed to purchasing the item before bidding.

Unpaid orders remain in "Pending" status. Repeated non-payment may result in account restrictions. Please only bid on items you intend to purchase.

You'll receive an email notification immediately when someone places a higher bid. You can also check the auction page to see the current highest bid.

No, each bid placed consumes one bid credit from your membership plan. If you're outbid and bid again, it uses another credit.

Membership applications are typically reviewed within 24 hours. You'll receive an email when your membership is approved.
